Andreas Meinert, Market Insight and Strategy Lead at Ework Group, was representing Ework as a speaker and panellist at the Finnish Future of Work Summit looking at AI and Algorithms in the Workplace in Helsinki on 18th June. This was arranged by partners Free Trade Europa and Freelance Movement in the Parliament of Finland and was hosted by Member of Parliament Saara-Sofia Sirén.
Andreas was joined on stage by Ulla Saar (Deputy Secretary General, Labour Markets at the Estonian Ministry of Economics) and Teppo Valtonen (Head of Development at the Finnish Institute of Occupational Health).
We also heard the thoughts of a number of Finnish political party representatives:
- Jarno Limnéll – MP, National Coalition Party
- Oras Tynkkynen – MP, The Greens
- Sofia Tuovinen – Chair of the AI Policy Working Group, The Center Party
- Laura Meriluoto – MP, Left Alliance
- Mikko Polvinen - MP, True Finns
The next step is to work with politicians and decision-makers to co-create principles and guidance on ethics and algorithmic management. An eventual working group with decision-makers and a Code of Conduct will be interesting for Ework Group to help shape.
