Questions to ask a partner when you are contracting an MSP

Are you in the market looking for an MSP?
Here are some things to think about and to ask a supplier before you become a partner.

An MSP can be a satisfactory solution if you need help to find and manage a recurrent flow of skilled freelancers. But before you choose a partner, there are a few things you need to consider before you make your decision.
To help you with the process here are a few questions you can ask a prospective partner.

There are a few different suppliers of MSP talent services on the market and before you enter into a commitment it is important to know that the partner you choose is the right fit for your company. Therefor it is important to contact a few different suppliers and ask them how they operate and how they would like to work, what they want to implement and how they will handle and run the process. Remember that you are the client and that you can make demands.

Questions you can ask:

How do they operate?

How will the work process and collaboration work?

How will we reach our goals in partnership?

How will you follow up on our set goals?

How will you ensure we will get the right resources?

What will we have to do for the partnership to be successful?

What information will you provide us to explain and educate the right people in the organization that will be affected by MSP?

Finally make sure you ask for a reference case, preferably with a company in the same industry as you operate in.
